Groups

On Goodself, you have the ability to create a group or co-manage a group to form meaningful engagements and provide support to your community. Groups can be public for everyone to join, or private (e.g. solely for your patients). Your primary role within a group is to act as a conduit for putting the group together, providing guidance, providing key links to guide them, addressing certain topics/questions, etc. You can repurpose content within the group and/or create new content – but it’s not meant to be time-consuming when you engage them daily or a few times a week, as Group participants are primarily meant to engage with each other to share experiences, share resources, etc.

In the beginning, your engagement level is key in bringing on the right people to your community and filling up your group – over time, the time commitment is meant to go down and the group is meant to primarily engage itself. In addressing certain questions or comments every so often within the group (again, not meant to be time-consuming at all!), you can also let the community know that you will conduct weekly brief talks within the app (if you’d like) to address questions they have, go over certain topics, etc. It’s a way to save time, further engage with your audience, encourage others to join, etc.
